If you’ve ever been seriously interested or even toyed with the idea of learning how to create a website or blog, then you’ve certainly come to the right place. Most people tend to think that building a website or starting a blog is a highly complicated task reserved only for super techie individuals. Well, I’m far from techie and I started this site on my own so that should tell you everything you need to know about the difficulty of website creation.
Years ago it used to be more complicated and harder to start a website but with today’s software tools we have at our disposal, it’s way quicker and easier than you probably think. My free step-by-step guide on this page – with pictures and video – will show you how to get your own site up and running today even if you have no prior experience at all. There are only three main things you will need:
- Domain name – When you sign up for hosting with Bluehost, they’ll give you your first domain name for FREE.
- Hosting platform – I use and recommend Bluehost
- Content Management System – I use and recommend WordPress.org (not to be confused with wordpress.com)
In the video above, I showed you how to purchase your hosting.
In the playlist below, I’ll be showing you how to put your website together. I’ll be adding to this playlist over time. However, what I have in there now is enough to get you started.
